The Role
WDG is looking for an experienced and collaborative Full-Stack Developer with strong WordPress Gutenberg expertise to join our team. This is a full-time, U.S.-based role (candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.).
You’ll work across a range of high-impact, large-scale digital platforms — partnering with organizations like the American Red Cross, Barnes & Noble, Aspen Institute, and the University of Pennsylvania. Our work spans industries, with a focus on mission-driven clients. Many of the platforms we build support millions of monthly users.
You’ll play a critical role in advising clients on modern best practices, helping architect and build systems that are performant, scalable, and easy to use.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong experience developing with WordPress Gutenberg
- Solid experience with React (or similar frameworks like Vue.js or Ember)
- Proficiency with PHP and custom theme/plugin development
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.)
- Familiarity with Apache, Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB environments
- Experience implementing SSO integrations and workflows
- A strong grasp of modern development workflows and version control (Git)
Bonus Points For:
- Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance
- Experience with Linux server management, DevOps, or cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)
- Agency experience working on multiple client-facing projects
- Familiarity with Git workflows and deployment strategies
Compensation
This role offers a salary range of $90K–$130K, depending on experience, along with industry competitive benefits and perks.
