Demand Generation Manager

We are hiring a Demand Generation Manager to build and own how WDG generates pipeline.

This is a ground-floor opportunity. There is no existing playbook, no inherited team, and no big budget to lean on. What there is: direct access to leadership, real ownership of strategy and execution, and the opportunity to build something that grows with the business.

You will own both sides of the equation, inbound and outbound, and use every tool at your disposal — including AI — to work smarter and move faster. Success is measured in qualified conversations and pipeline growth.


The Role

What You Will Do:

  • Build and run WDG’s demand generation engine from the ground up.
  • Develop and execute inbound and outbound programs that drive qualified leads and pipeline.
  • Create content, campaigns, and touchpoints that move the right people from awareness to conversation.
  • Use AI intentionally as part of how you plan, build, and measure, not as a shortcut, but as a strategic tool.
  • Own performance tracking and reporting tied directly to pipeline outcomes.
  • Work closely with leadership and the sales team to align efforts with business priorities.
  • Identify and build relationships through partner channels, associations, and industry networks.

We are prioritizing candidates within the Washington, DC region or who are East Coast based.


Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of B2B demand generation, growth marketing, or inbound/outbound marketing experience.
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline without relying on large budgets or big teams.
  • Experience owning both inbound and outbound programs end-to-end.
  • Hands-on AI fluency: you use AI tools to strengthen your strategy, sharpen your messaging, and accelerate your output, and you can speak specifically to how and why
  • Strong written communication. You can create and edit your own content
  • Comfort using data to make decisions, report on results, and adjust course
  • A self-directed approach. You are energized by building, not inheriting

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience at a professional services firm, digital agency, or B2B enterprise
  • Existing relationships or experience in B2B, associations, nonprofits, or foundations, the kinds of organizations where trust drives decisions and relationships drive pipeline
  • Experience building repeatable demand gen processes from scratch
  • A point of view on where AI is taking B2B marketing and how to stay ahead of it

Compensation &
Benefits

This role offers a salary range of $100k-130k, depending on experience, along with industry competitive benefits and perks, such as comprehensive health benefits, unlimited PTO, 401(k) with company matching, and company-paid life insurance.
